Interview with Miguel Gallardo! Former USL Player and Current Apple TV Broadcaster

Hi! In this episode, we talk to Miguel Gallardo, who is a longtime Orlando City legend. He started with the Austin Aztecs and moved with the team when they relocated to Orlando and became Orlando City. He continued to play with the team, winning two USL Cup tournaments. He was then let go after the 2014 season when the club started its transition into MLS. From there, he’s played with Jacksonville Armada (NASL) and the Florida Tropics (MASL). In 2017, he signed on as a sports analyst, reporter, and broadcaster for Orlando City. He continued to stay with Orlando until 2022, when broadcasting rights moved over to Apple TV. Luckily, Miguel got signed as a bilingual analyst where he now covers several different games across MLS. He talks to us about stories from playing, which players he’s excited to see play throughout the season, and how broadcasting even came about.
